Since June 2017, every basement in Camden needs planning permission. Policy A5 allows a single storey. That storey cannot sit beneath an existing basement. Any existing cellar is often the gym’s natural start.

Dropped weights carry through shared walls. We float the floor on an isolating layer. Fixings for the rack and mirrors stay off the party walls. Air is drawn in and out through quiet, lined ducts.
