The architectural drawings show what a design achieves. Structural drawings show how it is held up. That means the steel and timber carrying the load.
The engineer assesses the property first. Sometimes a wall, ceiling or small dig is opened up, for an accurate reading. That data goes into the calculations for your extension, basement or loft.
The finished drawings are needed for building control, party wall matters and tendering. We bring the engineer in early. Openings and floor depths are tested before the design is fixed.
