Painted, lacquered and veneered kitchens, drawn around how you cook. Made by Cochrane Bespoke.
Drawn around how you cook, then made to measure.
A bespoke kitchen is drawn around the room, then made by Cochrane Bespoke. We are NU Projects, design and build in Fulham SW6 since 2010. Each piece is priced from the drawings by our own quantity surveyor. Call 020 7731 6841, and a budget estimate typically follows within seven days.
A bespoke kitchen starts with how the family cooks and eats. Then the room, the light and the services.
Appliance sizes, power, water and extraction are settled with the cabinetry. Access for replacement is planned too.
We design the kitchen early, with the structure and the openings. A kitchen chosen late causes avoidable changes.
Every door, carcass and drawer is drawn to scale. Timber, paint and stone are approved as physical samples.
Cochrane Bespoke, our joinery partner, makes and installs it. Islands, larders, bars and boot rooms are made the same way.
A kitchen can sit inside an extension or a renovation, or stand alone.

What owners ask about kitchens.
Further reading, from the journal
When should the kitchen be designed?
Early enough to coordinate structure, openings, ventilation, plumbing, electrical supplies and lighting. A kitchen chosen after those decisions can create avoidable changes.
In a Fulham Victorian house, our glazed rear extension holds the kitchen.
How are kitchen appliances and services coordinated?
We resolve appliance sizes, power, water and ventilation alongside cabinetry and services.
We also plan access for replacement. Late changes can affect both joinery and first fix.
Why does bespoke joinery have a long lead time?
Design development, samples, approvals, materials, fabrication and finishing all take time.
Site measurement and installation readiness can affect the sequence as much as workshop capacity.
How are timber, veneer, stone and metal finishes approved?
We approve finishes using physical samples and, where needed, representative mock-ups.
Natural materials vary, so we agree an acceptable range and review method together.
How much does a bespoke kitchen cost in London?
Each kitchen is priced from the drawings by our own quantity surveyor.
Size, finish, worktops and appliances move the price most.
We do not publish a rate, because no two kitchens are the same.
Who makes NU’s kitchens?
Cochrane Bespoke, our joinery partner.
They make and install each kitchen from our drawings.
Can the kitchen be built into a new extension?
Yes. The kitchen is drawn with the steel, the glazing and the floor.
Our side return page explains the building side.
Do you make kitchens without a wider renovation?
Yes. A kitchen can stand alone, or sit inside a wider project.
Tell us the scope, and we will confirm the fit.
