We have refurbished three homes in Knightsbridge. Two townhouses, and one lateral apartment.
One townhouse gained a pool and a wine room. The other was refurbished throughout, as our third commission here.
The apartment was stripped back and rebuilt. The scope ran from drawings to specialist plasterwork and a full fit-out.
Each time, one team designed it, priced it and built it. Joinery came from Cochrane Bespoke, our joinery partner.
What the council allows.
- Council
- Two councils. The west and south of Knightsbridge sit in Kensington and Chelsea. The east and the park side sit in Westminster.
- Basements
- CL7 on the Kensington and Chelsea side. Westminster’s City Plan Policy 50 on the other. Both allow one storey.
- Conservation
- Most of Knightsbridge is conservation area, and many buildings are listed.
- Apartments
- Most apartments are leasehold. The freeholder’s licence and the managing agent’s rules both apply.
