NU Projects is a design and build company in Fulham SW6, founded in 2010. We handle interior design and fit-out in Knightsbridge SW1X, under one contract. Knightsbridge is mostly apartments, in stucco terraces and red brick mansion blocks.
Most interiors here are a full strip out and rebuild, to a high specification.
Panelling, plaster, stone and lighting are all specified before the price is fixed.
In one lateral apartment we rebuilt everything, down to specialist plasterwork.
In a townhouse, we fitted a marble pool and a walnut wine room.
Cochrane Bespoke, our joinery partner, made the apartment’s joinery to our drawings.

- Two councils. Kensington and Chelsea to the west and south. Westminster to the east.
- Listed interiors
- Many buildings here are listed. Consent then covers plaster, panelling, stairs and chimneypieces.
- The lease
- Most homes are leasehold flats. A freeholder’s licence is usually needed for alterations inside.
- Working hours
- Managing agents set working hours and lift use. Noisy work often has its own window.
- Floors
- Leases often require acoustic underlay under hard floors. We design each floor to the lease.
