Mayfair is mostly apartments now, in brick townhouses and mansion blocks. A cinema here is rarely a new dig. It is made from a lower ground floor or a spare room.
Westminster supports reusing buildings first, under City Plan Policy 43. Listed fabric must be kept, under Policy 44. Most of Mayfair is a conservation area. The Grosvenor estate often adds its own licence.
When neighbours sit above, below and beside, sound is the whole brief. We build the room inside the apartment shell and isolate it from the floor. The door and the ceiling void are sealed against leaks. Working hours and deliveries are agreed up front.
