Pimlico was laid out as one estate, in the same era as Belgravia. White stucco terraces face its garden squares. Most are flats today.
Uniformity is the point, and Westminster guards it. Roof lines here are mostly unbroken. Roof extensions on complete terraces like these are refused.
So extra space rarely comes from above. It comes from replanning a floor, moving kitchens and bathrooms, and freeing hallways.
Fronts follow the terrace too. Stucco should be painted in its established colour, avoiding brilliant white.
We have not worked in Pimlico itself. Our nearest projects are a Belgravia apartment and a central London flat in SW1.
