NU Projects is a design and build company in Fulham SW6, founded in 2010. We handle mechanical, electrical and plumbing in Notting Hill W11, under one contract. MEP is priced from the drawings, after a survey of what is there. Call 020 7731 6841, and a budget estimate typically follows within seven days.

Notting Hill terraces are painted stucco, tall and narrow. Most run four floors over a lower ground. One room per floor is often all the width there is.

That makes the stair the spine of the house. Risers usually run beside it, from the lower ground to the roof. We size them for every bathroom planned, not just today’s.

Many terraces are split into flats. Policy HO1 does not allow self-contained homes to be merged into one. So each flat keeps its own supplies, and we work within them.

Ladbroke, Pembridge and Norland are among the conservation areas. In Norland, Article 4 directions have applied since July 2013. Flues, vents and units on a front need care.

Communal gardens sit behind many terraces. An outdoor condenser there is judged under Policy CD10. We look at roofs and lightwells first.

Can two Notting Hill flats be joined, with one heating system?

Not usually. Policy HO1 does not allow self-contained homes to be merged.

Each flat keeps its own heat source and its own supplies.

Where do risers go in a narrow Notting Hill house?

Usually beside the stair, the one continuous route through the house.

We size them for every bathroom you plan, now and later.

Does Norland’s Article 4 affect a new flue on my Notting Hill house?

It can. The directions remove some permitted development rights.

We check the house against them before choosing a boiler position.

Can a Notting Hill condenser go in the communal garden?

Rarely without a careful case. Policy CD10 judges look and siting.

A roof or lightwell position is usually easier to justify.
