This note was written in 2023, in the thirteenth year since NU Projects started.
NU Projects has built in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea since 2010. Our founder, Nick Jeffries, set the company up and still leads the work.
In those thirteen years the pattern has been consistent. Clients come to us with a house that does not suit how they live, and they want one team to design the answer and build it. That is why the studio covers architecture, interior design and construction rather than any one of them.
Nick’s own approach has shaped how the team works. The brief is written down before anything is drawn, because a builder who does not know how a family uses a kitchen will build the wrong one. That discipline is what keeps a project from drifting.
We have worked on private houses across Chelsea, Kensington and Notting Hill, from whole house renovations to basements and bespoke joinery.
As the company has grown, what has not changed is that Nick still answers most of the first calls himself.
