Off the shelf, it is usually impossible to find furniture and joinery. It must fit the dimensions of a particular room. That is the gap NU Projects and Cochrane Bespoke fill. We do it for commercial and private clients. The project can be whatever size it happens to be.

What We Offer

NU Projects and Cochrane Bespoke make high end furniture and joinery. Carpentry, upholstery, spray finishing, metalwork and the final finishing all happen under one roof. That is why a piece does not have to travel between four subcontractors. It gets made in one place.

Our Strengths

  • Project management. From the first brief through design, manufacture, installation and aftercare. The same people are on it throughout.
  • Experience. Years of it. The work runs from a single cabinet to a whole house of fitted joinery.
  • Accountability. If a piece is not right, it is ours to put right. One party made it, so there is nobody to point at.
  • Quick quotes. A slow quotation holds up a whole programme, so ours come back fast.
  • Accurate quotations. Priced from the drawings. The figure at the end is the figure at the start.
  • Realistic lead times. Told to you at the start. They are planned into the site programme rather than discovered later.

The range of trades in one workshop lets us say yes to a detail. Otherwise it would be redrawn to suit a machine.

The team behind the craft

The workshop is makers and engineers together. That is the combination a one off piece needs. Somebody has to draw it. Somebody has to work out how it holds together. Somebody has to cut it.

The workshop

Our joinery workshop is in Isleworth, in west London. It has modern machinery alongside the hand tools. We use traditional technique and modern method both. Some jobs want a machine and some want a person. Being close to the sites we work on keeps delivery predictable.
