A high spec finish is a set of decisions, not a description. This post goes through a typical NU Projects build to show where those decisions are made, and why the details matter.
It starts with the right people
The quality of any build is ultimately determined by the people who deliver it. Precision in every detail
A high spec finish is defined by precision. It is the perfectly flush joint between two pieces of stone. The shadow gap between wall and ceiling, run true from one end to the other. The exact alignment of every switch plate, socket, and light fitting. Each of those is small on its own. Together they are the difference between a finished home and a nearly finished one. Site managers inspect each element against the agreed specification, and nothing moves on until it meets it.
Materials that make a difference
We work with materials we trust, sourced from specialist suppliers across Europe and beyond. Natural stone from Italy, bespoke ironmongery from London foundries, handcrafted joinery from our trusted workshop partners, and engineered timber flooring from sustainable sources. Every material is selected for its quality, durability, and aesthetic contribution to the finished space. We handle all procurement and logistics to ensure materials arrive on site in perfect condition and at exactly the right time.
Technology, integrated out of sight
In a modern luxury home, technology should be invisible until you need it. We work closely with specialist AV and smart home integrators to ensure that all wiring, equipment, and control systems are fully concealed within the building fabric. The result is a home where lighting, heating, security, and entertainment are controlled effortlessly without a single visible cable or unsightly panel.
Quality assurance and snagging
Before we hand over any project, we conduct a thorough internal snagging process. Every room is inspected in detail, every system is tested, and every finish is checked against the agreed specification. We compile a comprehensive snagging list and resolve every item before the client walkthrough. Our goal is to hand over a home that is genuinely ready to live in, with nothing left to finish or fix.
