This is part of our West London renovation series. At this stage there is real progress to show.
Strip out completed. The strip out phase is finished. We took the old plaster off the walls as well. This revealed the original 200 year old brickwork. The bricks are in poor condition. They are still a fascinating glimpse into the history of the building.
Awaiting the engineers’ report. We are waiting on the engineers’ report before the chimneys come out. The report decides whether they can go, and how. Nothing moves until it arrives.
Joist replacement. The old joists are being replaced with Posi-Joists. They give a stiffer floor. The services run through the web rather than through notches cut in a timber.
