i The brief
Back to the joists, then rebuilt.
Every room was designed by our interiors team before work began.
The apartment is in a period building in Notting Hill.
We stripped it to the joists and rebuilt it.
New ceilings, herringbone oak floors and panelled walls throughout.
Two bathrooms, a study and acoustic insulation between the floors.
ii Before
The strip out.
Taken in September 2024, as the old flat came out.

iii The drawings
Every room drawn first.
Mariana Orsini drew the plan, the floors and every wall.
The colours, tiles and fittings were chosen on paper first.

iv The fit out
The design, going in.
Photographed in spring 2025, as the finishes went in.
The mural, the marble and the brass, exactly as drawn.

v Finished
Finished, as drawn.
A few of the finished rooms, photographed in June 2025.

We photographed the build and only a few finished rooms. The rest are shown as designed.
