i The brief
The whole house, front door to loft.
The owners wanted one calm, finished house, not a set of rooms.
Panelled walls, oak herringbone floors and a limestone fireplace.
Two new bathrooms, a fitted study and new wardrobes.
Jordana Ashkenazi designed it all, down to every tap.
ii The work
What we did, room by room.
We moved the front door to make a proper entrance hall.
Panelling and an oak herringbone floor run through the hall and reception room.
The reception room has a limestone fireplace, a stone hearth and shelved niches.
The kitchen gained a steel framed glazed door, a quartz splashback and new lights.
The cloakroom is panelled, with a wall hung basin.
The stair is panelled from bottom to top, with a new carpet.
The main bathroom was replanned, with stone to the ceiling and a freestanding bath.
The study has a built in desk. The bedrooms have panelling and wardrobes.
The loft bathroom has a walk in shower and a fluted oak vanity.
Throughout, new plaster, cornice, skirtings, lighting and decoration.
Outside, the front was repainted, with new gutters, black railings and a gate.
iii Before
The house as we found it.
Taken in July 2025, before the work began.

iv The drawings
The bathrooms, drawn to the millimetre.
Plans and elevations for both bathrooms.
A room by room schedule set out every other finish.

v On site
Back to the wall, then rebuilt.
The house was stripped back, room by room.
New pipework and brass valves went in before the stone.

We did not photograph the finished rooms. So here they are as designed.
vi The rooms
Shown as designed.
Made from Jordana’s drawings and the finishes we fitted.
Visualisations, never photographs of the finished house.
