Design and build for a South Kensington home

South Kensington is mostly stucco terraces and mansion blocks. It is mostly in a conservation area. It has mostly been altered before. Renovating one means handling the planning, structure, services and finishes together. They are not handled in sequence. That is what a design and build appointment is for.

Here is what we bring to it.

1. The team. Our architects, interior designers, builders and project managers share one Fulham office. They have done renovation work in South Kensington and the surrounding areas. That means one person answers a technical question at design stage. That person is accountable for it on site.
2. A design for your house. Every household uses a house differently. So the brief is written down room by room before anything is drawn. The answer may be traditional, contemporary or a mix. Either way, it has to be tested against something.
3. The whole scope. Design, planning, construction and project management sit under one contract. This runs from the first survey to handover. There is no gap between appointments for something to fall into.
4. Quality that is recorded. We use materials we trust and suppliers we use repeatedly. Concealed work is inspected before it is covered. Quality checked after the plaster is on is not quality checked.
5. Pricing you can read. We are not the cheapest and we do not try to be. This is explained in full here. What we do is show the working. We show what is included and what is excluded. We show where the allowances sit and where there is room to move.
