NU Projects has completed more than twenty basement projects in West London. The work runs from the temporary works and the excavation through to the finished room.
Why a basement, in this part of London
Fulham, Chelsea, South Kensington, Mayfair and Knightsbridge are short of space above ground. Planning and the shape of the streets often rule out building outwards or upwards. For many owners a basement is the only practical way to add a floor.
What NU brings to it
NU Projects has built basements across West London since 2010. Knowing the ground, the boroughs and the party wall routes in these districts is most of what shortens a programme.
What the space is used for
The basements we have excavated and fitted out have become home cinemas, wine cellars, swimming pools, gyms, saunas, games rooms and self contained flats. Each of those carries its own requirements for ventilation, acoustics, drainage and access.
