Human beings have a subconscious connection with nature that is increasingly being recognised in interior design. Studies show that maintaining this connection can reduce stress and increase feelings of wellbeing.

By bringing a bit of nature to your home and/or your workplace/home office by incorporating plants and greenery to your interior design, you are lifting the mood of the room and of the people in it.

In the modern world, connections with nature are proven to improve mental health and overall wellbeing by boosting mood and reducing stress. Plants in the home lower reported stress. Workplace studies have found sizeable falls in reported tension, low mood and fatigue where planting was introduced, which is why offices started doing it before houses did.

Planting also helps the air in a room, which makes a house or an office more comfortable to sit in for a long stretch.

If you want to improve a garden or build a conservatory, that can sit inside a NU Projects design and build package along with the rest of the work. We have done conservatories, landscaping, outdoor decorating and garden walls, and we bring in specialists for the parts that need them. To talk one through, send us the details, call the studio on 020 7731 6841, or email info@nuprojects.co.uk.
