My entrepreneurial journey

My entrepreneurial journey has been filled with ups and downs, but one thing that has remained constant is my drive and determination to succeed. As a teenager, I was heavily involved in BMX freestyle and achieved the level of British champion, thanks partly to my sponsorship by SKYWAY & PRO-LITE. This opportunity allowed me to travel and pursue my passions, and it was a great honour to be recognised in this way.

However, my journey has not always been easy. When I was just ten years old, my father passed away, leaving a lasting impact on me and shaping my mental resilience and determination for the rest of my life. Despite this, I refused to let this tragedy hold me back. After my BMX career, I worked in various industries, including Next and night clubs in Tenerife. I even signed up for Royal Marines commando training but quickly realised it wasn't the right fit for me and my goals.

Instead, I focused on building a successful career in the business world. For most of my twenties and thirties, I owned and operated hand car washes, which were very successful businesses with contracts from clients such as NCP & Land Securities. I then entered the property industry by working as a land agent, finding off-market opportunities for developers in Portsmouth. In 2007, the credit crunch forced me to reinvent myself, and I relocated my efforts to Prime London, where the rewards were higher. I worked in this field for a few years until a high-net-worth individual offered to lend me money for a joint venture on a property he had found. This was my first taste of construction and development, and it eventually led to the creation of my company, NU.

Over the past 13 years, NU has established itself as a trusted and reliable brand in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, consistently delivering exceptional results for our clients. Starting and growing a business is never easy, and I have certainly faced my fair share of challenges along the way. However, I am grateful for every experience and lesson that has shaped me into the entrepreneur I am today. I have learned that hard work, creativity, and a commitment to excellence can truly pay off, even if you don't have a traditional education or background.

I am grateful for the opportunity to share my journey with all of you and hope that it inspires others to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams, no matter what their circumstances may be. Keep pushing forward, and don't let anything stand in your way. With hard work and determination, you can achieve your dreams.
